Photography Technical Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize, and check all photography equipment before call time, including cameras, lenses, batteries, memory cards, flashes, and supporting accessories.
• Assist with gear handling throughout the wedding or event day, ensuring equipment remains secure, accessible, and ready for fast-paced coverage.
• Support quick operational changes on-site such as lens swaps, battery changes, memory card rotation, flash setup, and emergency gear readiness when timing is critical.
• Help carry, manage, and protect equipment during transitions between preparation rooms, ceremony areas, reception spaces, portraits, and other on-location movements.
• Provide basic reflector or lighting support based on the photographer’s direction, including positioning simple modifiers or assisting with practical light setups.
• Maintain awareness of the shooting flow and anticipate immediate technical needs before being asked whenever possible.
• Assist with packing, recounting, and final post-event equipment checks to ensure no gear is left behind or misplaced.
• Support simple on-location mini studio setup when needed for styled portraits, detail shots, product-style flatlays, or controlled lighting situations.
