Junior Photographer

Key Responsibilities

• Photograph weddings, prewedding sessions, and couple photoshoots in line with EMÉRY’s creative direction and visual standards.
• Capture candid moments, meaningful interactions, portraits, details, and ambience with strong attention to composition, light, timing, and emotion.
• Build visual stories that reflect EMÉRY’s timeless, candid, and editorial approach to wedding and couple photography.
• Make thoughtful photographic decisions on framing, perspective, exposure, and timing throughout each assignment.
• Work confidently across different parts of a shoot, from getting ready and ceremonies to portraits and receptions.
• Stay observant and anticipate meaningful moments, expressions, and details that contribute to the overall story.
• Follow EMÉRY’s shooting SOP, file-handling procedures, and backup protocols carefully.
• Review images, apply feedback, and continuously develop technical skills, consistency, and visual judgment.

What We’re Looking For

• Has a strong visual sense and an interest in composition, light, color, emotion, and storytelling.
• Has basic knowledge of camera operation, exposure, focus, and composition; beginner to intermediate applicants are welcome.
• Can share a portfolio or relevant visual work. Personal projects and non-wedding photography are welcome.
• Is observant, detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable receiving constructive feedback.
• Can communicate well, collaborate with a team, and stay professional in wedding environments.
• Is open to a full-time placement in Bandung, Bali, or Melbourne, including weekends and wedding schedules when required.
• Prior wedding photography experience is an advantage, but a strong visual eye and willingness to learn matter most.

Career Path

• Junior Photographer — build your technical foundation, visual judgment, and understanding of EMÉRY’s approach to wedding and couple photography.
• Photographer — grow into a more independent photographer, typically taking on 2nd shooter responsibilities and contributing more actively to the visual story.
• Lead Photographer — progress toward leading assignments, directing the photographic approach on the day, and taking responsibility for the overall visual story.
